Car Full of Teens Collided with a Police Car, Killing Four
According to The Big Story, a car full of Alabama teens collided with a police car late last month, killing three of the teenagers in the car, as well as the sheriff’s deputy in the other vehicle. Responders took the single survivor, a fourth teenager with life-threatening injuries, to a local hospital for emergency treatment. The crash occurred shortly before 8 p.m. one evening on a rural, two-lane road.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy was driving a 2003 Infiniti G35 when it collided with a Dodge Charger patrol car. Both drivers and two of the teenager’s passengers died in the crash. The deputy was wearing his seatbelt, as was the sole survivor in the Infiniti.
The deputy was on duty and had just left the scene of another accident involving a deer. The gym of the high school where the boys attended remained open as a gathering place after the accident for grieving families.
