John Richards joined Morris Bart, LLC as an associate in May of 2015. Since then, he has been dedicated to helping injured people and has negotiated hundreds of settlements for his clients. John is a litigator who enjoys being in the courtroom, and has experience trying cases to jury verdict. John specializes in handling premise liability personal injury cases, and enjoys handling personal injury cases as a result of car wrecks, tractor-trailer collision, and other injury matters.
Recently, John was selected as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney in Louisiana by The National Trial Lawyers for his work in the courtroom. John was also selected to the 2021 Louisiana Rising Star list by his peers for his work in plaintiff personal injury.
John obtained his Juris Doctorate and Diploma in Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul. M. Hebert Law Center in May of 2014. While in law school, he was named to the chancellor’s list for academic achievement and received awards for the highest grade in Legal Research and Writing and Comparative Media Law. During law school, John served on the Trial Advocacy Board, and competed in LSU Law’s Flory Trials in 2012 and 2013. He won the competition in 2013, and received awards for “Outstanding Individual Advocate” both years. John continues to volunteer his time to judge local mock trial tournaments at the high school, college, and law school levels.
During his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife and growing family in New Orleans, Louisiana. John is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Arkansas
