Personal injury lawyer Terry Loup has dedicated over 45 years of his professional life to representing injured persons and their families.
He obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1977, and thereafter was admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. In addition, he has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, several federal courts of appeal and numerous federal district courts located in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. He has handled thousands of civil cases during his career, and has extensive pre-trial, trial and appellate experience.
Terry Loup was board-certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy for 25 years. For many years, he was recognized by Super Lawyers in the field of General Personal Injury for Plaintiffs by Super Lawyers magazine in association with St. Charles Avenue and Louisiana Life magazines. This recognition came after surveying thousands of ballots sent to other lawyers in Louisiana each year regarding Terry Loup’s peer recognition and professional achievements. This distinction places Terry Loup in the top 10% of all attorneys in the state of Louisiana.

Terry was selected and recognized by New Orleans Magazine as a “Top Lawyer” every year from 2012 through 2024. He was also awarded Super Lawyers from 2007-2013 and 2015-2024.
