A native of Sunset, Louisiana, Roderick A. James received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Tulane University. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
While in law school, Mr. James served as President of the Student Bar Association and was involved with the American Inns of Court, Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. Mr. James also served as one of three Law Student Division Delegates to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates. During this service, he advocated for the interest of all law students attending ABA accredited law schools in the nation.
Mr. James’ legal experience prior to joining Morris Bart, LLC includes a judicial clerkship in the 19th Judicial District Court of Louisiana. Mr. James is admitted to practice before all Louisiana State Courts. His professional affiliations include the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
