Austin Marks joined Morris Bart, LLC, as an associate attorney in October 2013. A local of New Orleans, he graduated from Syracuse University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy. After working in the economic development field for several years, Mr. Marks attended law school at Loyola University College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Marks was actively involved with the Maritime Law Journal, and the Loyola Moot Court Program, competing as an oralist in a national Sports Law competition. He committed his final year of law school to Loyola’s Wage Claim Clinic, advocating for under-served and exploited employees seeking justice from their employers.
Prior to joining Morris Bart, LLC, Mr. Marks clerked with several local law firms, experiencing both plaintiff and defense work in the personal injury field. He also clerked for Judge Robin M. Giarrusso in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, as well as the City Attorney under Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s administration. Mr. Marks is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts.
