Alaraby Johnson was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Brown University and was the commencement speaker at graduation. After college, she moved to the Caribbean and worked in an oil terminal as a ship’s agent.
When she returned to the United States, she worked as a deckhand and later a United Coast Guard licensed captain on the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School, where she earned a certificate of study in Maritime Law. Prior to joining Morris Bart, LLC, Ms. Johnson’s legal experience includes a background in Louisiana workers’ compensation law, Jones Act and other maritime law, personal injury law, and federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act law.
Ms. Johnson is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as Federal District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
